  2. At the Transfer to: prompt on the display screen, enter the recipient's number.
  3. Press Send.
  4. When the recipient answers, notify him of the incoming call.

  6. If the recipient doesn't want the transfer, press Cancel to return to your original caller.

How do I transfer a call without announcing it?

This is called a blind transfer:

Everyone's voicemail box can be reached by dialing #extension: the pound sign, followed by the four-digit extension. To transfer to a voicemail box, perform a blind transfer to #extension.

Can I transfer calls to outside numbers?

Yes. There's no restriction on transfer recipients. You just need to enter the number just as you would dial it (no need for '9' or '1', etc.).
