Contact Management

New contact/distribution list

To create a new contact:

  • Select New > Contact or Distribution List (A distribution list is specific to your Outlook account and works differently than an alias).
  • Contact: You can fill out all sorts of information and even attach a photo. The most important pieces of information are the name and email address.
  • Distribution List: You will need to give the list a name and either add members manually by selecting Add New or multiple people at a time by choosing Select Members and picking for your contacts and Global Address List.

Using your contacts

To use it, Press the To button while composing a message and select it from your contact list. Distribution lists will display as bold.

You can also select the Email, Meeting, or Assign Task (only for individual contacts) and compose it directly from there.

Editing contact/Distribution List

To edit a contact:

  • Double click on the contact or distribution list.
  • Contacts: Click on the section you wish to edit. Press Save when finished.
  • Distribution List: By clicking on the Select Members, Add, Remove, Update you can edit the contacts in that distribution list.

Viewing

Selecting Contacts from your main tools you will see your viewing options in the sidebar. You can also access these by selecting View from the toolbar at the top of the page.

Deleting

Right click on the contact or distribution list and select Delete.

If you’re viewing the contact or distribution list you can select Delete from the top left corner of the window.
