Carey Jung
President
Carey is IT Freedom's founder and president. He was formerly a software engineer and software development manager at Tivoli Systems. During his eight years at Tivoli, Carey helped the company grow from a startup with a handful of employees to one of the largest, most successful IT management vendors in the world. He received several awards for innovation, inventions, and teamwork at Tivoli. His experience there gives him a unique insight into both IT management and the needs of fast-growing companies.
Carey grew up on a ranch in South Dakota, spent four years in the Marine Corps, and obtained undergraduate degrees in mathematics and philosophy from the University of California, San Diego. He is a graduate of the University of Texas' highly acclaimed Institute for Managerial Leadership. He is an avid distance runner and cyclist and has lived in Austin since 1990 with his wife and four children.
Nika Brogan
Controller
Nika manages IT Freedom’s general accounting & financial statements, lender relationships, tax compliance, and contracts. A native Houstonian, Nika worked for eight years at one of the ten largest catering companies in the city where she rose through the ranks from an accounting clerk to the Assistant Controller. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Rice University, Nika relocated to Austin where she spends most of her free time hiking, swimming, and working on various art projects.
Brian Camp
Director of Technology
Brian is IT Freedom's chief engineer. Brian comes from the small town of Elmwood, Illinois, where he lived for the first twenty five years of his life. Out of high school, he helped to start an internet service provider, where he worked as its primary engineer until moving to Austin in 2005. At IT Freedom, Brian has been heavily involved in the development of many of the company's hosted services and customer projects. Brian lives in South Austin with his wife and daughters. He enjoys hiking, sightseeing and spending time with his family.
Carla Jung
Human Resources Director
Carla divides her time between HR activities, managing our facility, assisting the controller with various accounting tasks, and serving as Business Advisor to the president. Carla grew up in California and graduated from UCLA with a B.S. in Engineering. She worked several years in the aerospace industry before moving to Austin. She has been with IT Freedom since 2004, and has had the unique opportunity to work in every department within the company.
Matt Miller
Engineering Manager
Matt is responsible for overseeing customer and internal IT projects, developing and proposing solutions for current and prospective customers, and overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Engineering Department. Born in Austin, Matt earned his degree in Computer Science from UT Austin. He started his career as a network admin for a major multinational while still in school, eventually moving to IT Freedom and rising through the technical staff to senior Network Engineer before taking over as Engineering Manager. In these roles, Matt has been responsible for major projects in both the corporate and small business IT fields. Matt currently lives in and works from his home in the Houston Heights.
Jeff Taff
Service Manager
Jeff joined IT Freedom as a network technician in 2008. His previous experience includes positions at the University of Texas at Austin and Exodus Communications (now Savvis), where he was an integral part of the IT security consulting team for a number of Fortune 500 clients.
He grew up in the Greater Houston area but moved to Austin in 1994 to attend the University of Texas, where he earned Bachelors and Masters degrees. Jeff is an avid outdoorsman and sports fan and can often be found at Round Rock Express or UT football games with his wife and son.

Born and raised in Texas, I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. I spent the last 10 years in New York City but now live in the Austin area with my wife and son. In addition to my love of technology, I am an avid filmmaker, producing and directing short films and web series. I have been with IT Freedom since February 2011 and love my job!

Cody Jarrett

Cody has been with IT Freedom since 2005. He has several certifications including CompTIA Linux+, Network+, and A+, and he's pursuing more. He has lived in Austin since 2005 and enjoys computers, outdoors and fishing.
Brian Lewis
Network Technician
Brian has been with IT Freedom since September 2008, and he learns something new every day. He holds an Associates degree in computer networking and a BBA in computer information systems. He grew up in Belton, Texas, and has been living in Austin for over two years. When not in the office or on-call, he enjoys spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, boating, and camping.

Katrina Tolentino
Marketing Administrator
Our company’s advocate, Katrina is responsible for marketing, business development, and inducting new customers in to the IT Freedom tribe. An avid supporter of the nonprofit community, she also chairs events and fundraising for Lights. Camera. Help., a nonprofit that produced the world’s first film festival dedicated to cause driven film. She sits on the advisory board of a GIS project with the OneStar Foundation, volunteers as an Ambassador for the Austin Chamber of Commerce, and plans social-media-driven fundraising events for other nonprofits. Katrina was nominated for a Texas Social Media Award in 2010 for her work in the nonprofit community. She graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelors Degree in Urban Geography. When she actually has free time, you can find her blogging about BBQ, watching college football, climbing mountains, and touring every winery in the state.
Cassie Zinsmeyer
Accounting Administrator
Cassie has been with IT Freedom since November of 2008. She is in charge of the purchasing department and maintaining the warehouse. She moved to Austin, TX in 1996 from Los Angeles, CA. After graduating from The Art Institute of Dallas in June 2008, she returned home to Austin and started at IT Freedom.
